The MLA Style Manual and Guide to Scholarly Publishing (2008) is the third edition of The MLA Style Manual, first published by the Modern Language Association of America in 1985. It is an academic style guide widely used in the United States, Canada, and other countries, providing guidelines for writing and documentation of research in the humanities, especially in English studies; the study of other modern languages and literatures, including comparative literature; literary criticism; media studies; cultural studies; and related disciplines. According to the MLA book catalogue description, since first being published in 1985, the MLA Style Manual has been "the standard guide for graduate students, scholars, and professional writers." My paper is a pretty simple research paper, but I do not know anything about MLA. Thanks everybody, those first two seem really helpful! WOW...Thank you "The Great"! You went all out on my question! Asked by Livestrong2009 - Sun Nov 29 13:19:34 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A. It should look like this: Size 12, times new roman font, with double spacing. The heading should also be double spaced with your name at the top, then the class/subject you are writing the paper for, then your teachers name, and last the due date written like this : 30 October, 2009 (day month, year). Also in the top right corner of every page you include the page number by writing your last name, then the number. So it would be like Smith 1, Smith 2, etc. Also, for MLA citations you can use this website: You just click on the source your citing on the left of the page (book, article, etc) and fill in the info, and it will put it in MLA for you.
