What the major directories to submit a web site to in order to get traffic?
Q. I hear that submitting a web site to certain major directories is a good way to get traffic and i wanted to know if any body knew which ones they were and maybe even a little advice on how to submit them.

However, unless you want to spend nearly $1000 per year, to maintain your spot, you will need to find alternatives: offers a free submittal that will get you included in most search engines. You will have to search for a category, submit your site and wait for them to approve you. Approval is not guaranteed. Google uses the DMOZ. - Yahoo will also accept your site for free, but if you are in a hurry, they will ask you to pony up the bucks. How to submit link in more directories ?
Q. I have submitted link in 5000 directories approximately, now it is very difficult to find new directories. I have tried to search in Google as well as in all the search engine but it has proved fail. Please guide me & tell me the way how to get rid of this.

A. You can reach 12.5 K web directories via Extreme-SEO.net, but I will recommend you to concentrate on Article Submission and Press Release Submission as well. Q. What are the biggest directories on the internet (except DMOZ). Ideally top 100 but top 10 according to Alexa ranking would be great. 10 points for best answer.

Hey dude your so lucky you asked this question today because yesterday I was looking for directories myself and I found a great website that keeps a list of all the best directory sites, including the best free ones and the best paid ones. The best thing about this site is you can download a constantly updated Excel spreadsheet with all the directory urls for free and you don't even have to subscribe. If you look in the top right corner of this website you will see the Excel Download button: Take your time and have a look around the site because it tells you all the best directories for particular niches, best trusted directories etc plus there's a forum and FAQ pages with more useful info.
